Announcement

From June 7, 2010, Dr. Norbert Kis Ministerial Commissioner is responsible for the administration of The Government Centre for Public Administration and Human Resource Services. On June 14, 2010, former Director General Dr. István Teplán has presented the results of the institution’s development since 2007, handed over the management tasks to the Ministerial Commissioner and agreed on the conditions of the future cooperation. Dr. István Teplán will continue his work in another field of government administration.

Mission

Our mission is: to provide leadership in promoting effective human resources methods and practices via education and professional development activities; and to offer opportunities for civil and senior civil servants to acquire specialized knowledge, managerial and leadership skills by means of our broad-based delivery network of scholars, experts and practitioners.

Main Activities

  • Recruiting and training of civil servants;
  • Initial and further training of civil servants in public administration;
  • Conducting the competitive exam for applicants who would like to become civil servants;
  • Selection of managers for public administration (central and regional);
  • Maintaining the public sector electronic job bank (www.kozigallas.gov.hu);
  • Developing, monitoring and supporting the network for the human resources modules of the central administration (KSZSZR);
  • Operating the Young Civil Servant Fellowship Program (PÖF);
  • Monitoring and planning the training needs of all of the public sector participants (central, regional and local; public corporations and local authorities);
  • Selection and training personnel for the 2011 EU Presidency of Hungary;
  • Administering and supervising EU grants for education and human resources development in public administration;
  • Launching a year long program for senior public managers;
  • Establishing a core professional academy; and
  • Participating in international projects.
